RESIDENTIAL CARE / BEREAVEMENT:
I am a helping hand to support you through an emotional journey. These times are often made easier with helpful, supportive company.
I understand what a difficult time it can be when faced with making arrangements to move a relative into residential care, or following a bereavement, because as well as supporting previous clients, I have been there myself.
Often family members have full-time commitments, or live away from the area, and having to pack-up a home in preparation for sale can take a lot of valuable time. One of the services I provide is to reduce the pressure felt by families by sorting and carefully packing the home contents for them. This was particularly useful for two sisters living in Canada whose mum passed away in the UK - we had regular video calls to discuss the items to be kept etc.
Items can be segregated into ‘keep’, ‘sell’, ‘donate’, ‘recycle’ then, once you have approved each section, I can package appropriately.
Boxes are clearly labelled to show their content and I can also deliver appropriate items to charity shops (or arrange collection). I happily work alongside clients or on my own (whilst you are at work) – whichever you prefer.
I can source quotes from various trades and be on hand for appointments if required e.g. auction houses, charity collections, clearance companies and removal firms.
I have the appropriate insurance and DBS checks and I am a member of the Association of Professional Declutterers and Organisers [APDO].
